One of our favorite activities once we start a new year is to get a new calendar and planner to help organize the exciting 365 days ahead! We’re obsessive about staying organized, but even if you’re not, it’s still a great way to start the new year on the right foot. (We love the one above by Design Love Planner!)

Whether you are a dorm dweller living in campus housing or are still living at home with the parentals, we bet there is one thing you’re not doing too much of — cooking, right? But cooking can be really fun (and really healthy!) so hit the reset button by trying a new recipe. It can be as complicated as a soufflé or as easy peezy as a green smoothie! (You can check out some of our fav smoothie recipes right here.) Better yet…sign up for a cooking class and go all out in 2015!

Okay okay, so spring hasn’t quite sprung yet and there is still snow on the ground in much of the country. We get it! But it’s time to take the holiday decor down and replace it with a few new pieces to keep you feeling fresh and inspired. We usually go small by swapping out flannel sheets for something lighter (and brighter!) and straightening up our study space with a few motivational accessories.

Expand your horizons on campus and try something new! Whether it’s a book club, IM soccer, or maybe an improv class, whatever it is it is a great way to meet new people and learn a new skill. Both great things to work on in 2015!

Find a way to give backIMG_20211-682x1024

You may remember from this holiday post that we are always big advocates of taking the time to give back. Well…it doesn’t stop at the holidays. There are so many things you can do in 2015 to give back. Bring soup or a hearty meal to a sick friend or community member, tutor a  younger classmate, or spend some time volunteering at a local animal shelter. Think about what matters to you and make a difference in that area! You’ll never regret those experiences!
