We are so excited for July 4th in just a few days (we have to admit, it’s one of our favorite holidays!) What’s not to love? Watermelon, fireworks, parades, and time with loved ones. We also love any excuse to dress up which is why were were so excited when Star of Camp Makery taught The Stylehouse team how to create these easy 4th of July Star Crowns! Here is how to create the look yourself…

Supplies:

  • Foam in red, white, & blue
  • Glitter in red, gold, & blue
  • Spray adhesive
  • Hot glue
  • Pencil
  • 3 paper plates
  • Headband
  • Scissors

IMG_0885Step 1: On each color of foam, draw 2 stars in varying sizes. Cut out the stars and set them on a paper plate.IMG_0888IMG_0890Step 2: In a well-ventilated area, spray the stars thoroughly with spray adhesive and immediately apply glitter. Shake excess glitter back into the glitter bottle. Repeat process for each color.

Alternating colors, continue gluing the stars in layers, largest down first, then medium, then small. You may not use every star, but don’t worry, just play around to create just the right mixture of sizes and colors.
