Mother’s Day DIY Disco Ball Photo Holders

diyphotogifts_MD

Hi everyone! It’s Laurel from A Bubbly Life and this month I am here to show you a great gift for Mom this Mother’s Day and also a perfect DIY for your dorm room!  I can tell you as a Mom, photos of my girls are awesome- I have them everywhere!  I also have disco balls everywhere, so, it is a perfect, sparkly match.  Your Mom will love them- print off some selfies or find your baby pics and send these off to her!  (also, disco ball ornaments tend to come in a pack of 6, so keep 3 for yourself for your bedroom 😉

Materials:

Disco Ball Ornaments

Scissors (or jewelry side cutters) *

Needle Nose Pliers

20 Gauge Wire (found at any hardware store)

* I used scissors to cut the wire, but this will dull and ruin your scissors over time.  It will work, but just a warning!!

Directions:

diyhowtomakephotodiscoballs_edited-11. Remove ornament top with a small, light tug, if you pull too hard you may lose some disco ball mirrors!  I used my fingers but you can grab it with the pliers and remove as well.

 2. Cut the wire to your desired length, leaving room at the top for the “twist” to hold your photos.

3. Twist the top of the wire with the needle nose pliers to form a circle- 2 circles are needed to hold the photo, so do a double loop.

4. Stick the wire into the disco ball!
